Duties:
●
Supervise
rehearsals and instruct dancers with techniques and movement steps to obtain
visual impact. Interpret story lines and
translate music into dance movements.
●
Develop dance
routine for dance classes, dance competition, and special festival
performances. Coordinate competition
events for dance team (up to age 12).
●
Select and
coordinate sound effects for specific dance routines, such as music and
recorded verbal messages..
●
Coordinate dance
auditions for competition and special productions.
●
Direct
performances, including choreographing, for community events.
●
Create new dance
routines using multimedia and traditional note taking tools.
●
Manage dance
training to maintain physical conditioning for flexibility and to avoid
injuries.
Job

Education requirements: M.F.A.
Degree in Choreography or its equivalent
